So this past Friday, I started ordering/buying equipment for my workshop, so that I can stop paying rent and start kicking ass in my own facility. So the 29er is on the verge of going to paint. I built it up with the parts package and took her out for a short spin. There’s a few little quirks that are related to my parts selection, but nothing that can’t be resolved. The 29′er frame is essentially finished. I need to lightly brush over a few of the fillets with some sandpaper, remove some of the surface rust with hydrochloric acid, and she’d basically be done after that.
Today, I should be getting the re-do of the waterjetted parts from Skaaly. That will encompass the head tube badge and down tube logos, which I’ll silver-braze to the frame next weekend.

Due to my workload at the office and my wedding preparations, I am likely end up in a position where I am unable to make it to Minnecycle this year. The 29′er is further behind the curve than I’d like, and as a result, I don’t think I’ll be able to get it into a paint booth with enough time to be ready for the show.
